10.3.6: can't play music CDs or download from camera

After upgrading my Cube to 10.3.6 I can no longer play music CDs. Nothing shows up in itunes or on my desktop. Data CDs mount just fine in both the original internal drive and my external firewire CD/DVD writer.

Also, I am unable to download files from my Nikon D70. Previously when I connected the D70 (USB) if would automatically mount the flash drive and show it on the desktop. Now nothing shows up, though the D70 is visible as a USB device in system profiler.

Any ideas?
