I think it will support six, although you might want to get additional clarification on that. Each card supports three displays according to Apple's tech specs.

It should support 4 just fine. And it can technically support 6 displays, but for 6 24" ACD, you would need a DVI male to MDP female.

You'd need to get a couple of relatively pricey scaler units since the 24" (and 27") LED ACDs can't accept DVI input even if piggy backed over a MDP cable. You'd need one of these (http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-DVI-to-Mini-DisplayPort-Converter-p-17859.html) for each DVI port if driving 24" LED ACDs or one of these (http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-Dual-Link-DVI-to-Mini-DisplayPort-Converter-USB-Powered.html) for each DVI port if driving 27" LED ACDs.

Sorry to deviate the from the initial question but I think a more interesting question is whether or not they will support crossfire in windows :D
