My dear fellow Mac colleagues,
Wonderful to be with you again, especially after such a long absence. I am happy to tell you that I have a reliable PowerBook G3 500 Pismo, with which I am more impressed than I thought I would be. However, I have a huge problem. I bought a 3rd party battery, with a guarantee of 1 year's trouble free operation. But there turned out to be a software problem, so the battery was taken back and I was given a new one. Not long after receiving the new battery, it was misbehaving again. It refuses to charge up independently. I have to eject and reinsert it continously to charge it up, and the best it can do is 96%. The supplier doesn't know what to do, the manufacturer is up in arms and I don't have a clue. So...what do you, the battle hardened Mac afficionados, reckon?
Thank you so much in advance,
Matt
