Will Apple stores be discounting the current Mac Pro desktops that they have in stock since the new ones are due in later this month? Has anyone bought one?

They can be found from the refurb store. I'm not sure does stores keep them but your best bet is to give them a call

If you mean the 8-Core Mac Pro's then no, they will stay the same price. The only change is the new 12-Core Mac Pro.
