Transfer iTunes Library from iMac g4 to the iMac g5

You probably missed your music library XML file.

Just copy the whole iTunes folder from old computer to new using the finder (as in NOT in iTunes). Not sure why you tried all that consolidation madness.
 
Also, don't forget to deauthorize the old computer if you aren't going to be using it anymore to play music you purchased from iTMS.
