the proper link can be hard to find, so here it is.

this has made great improvements over the 2.1 betas. the interface is much more aquified than the older versions and all of the tools are now available in a floating palette instead of the very pc-ish toolbar! this one also seems to be much more stable than the 2.1 betas. TextEdit usually takes care of the majority of my text editing needs, but for the times i need a full word processor i use abiword. i'd say this new version may very well have me using it for everything. i recommend that everybody try this out, you'll be impressed. once the ms word import plug-in works, i think abiword will really take off on the mac.

Abi Word is indeed a nice project, but the software for mac is still week.
If you resize the document window using the maximize window button (the green +), the window will cover up the palettes and toolbar..
It also don't sense the dock, and i have to turn the dock off when using abiword. Other than that its great!

I'm compiling it for x11 and run it there.
