Hey there, just a question about my MBP

My 13"has a max res of 1280 x 800.... if i were to plug in a standard (or apple) display, what is the mac res i could get it running at? could i get it to 1080?

Also what do you guys think of the 20"Apple display? (the one that looks like the *current* 30") Are they good?

Thanks

Jonathan

2560 x 1600 is the supported resolution for external displays according to Apple and its official website.

The 20" Apple Cinema Display is a good one, but quite old. Be sure to not pay that much.

Yup... 2560x1600 is what apple says. So totally 1080p!

I know, but thats much better than the 1280 800 i have now, i am going to be doing music production, any monitors that anyone reccommends?

Thanks

If you're looking at a used Apple Cinema Display, then try to go for the 23in rather than the 20in. The extra real estate is useful and it's 1920x1200, so Ok for 1080p too.
