What's the difference between 8gb iPod Touch models MB528LL vs MC086LL? I thought they are the same except I am seeing two different model numbers at stores on the internet. Thanks!

Other than the fact that the MB model can be jailbroken more easily, there's not any other differences. They're both considered the same 2nd Gen iPod touch.

The MB is the true 2nd gen iPod touch, while the MC was sold along side the 3rd Gen iPod touch.

Also, on a semi-related topic....I read that the 2G/3G 8gb iPod Touch is faster than the 3G iPhone, but slower than the 3GS iPhone. I've seen some conflicting reports on the processor speeds, but here's what I think may be accurate:

3G iPhone: 412 MHz
iPod Touch 8gb 2G/3G: 533 MHz
3GS iPhone: 600 MHz (though, I read 800 MHz in some places)

Is that correct?

That's seems to be right. The 3GS does have the capabilities to run at 800 MHz, but its underclocked to enhance the battery life.

Yeah everything there is perfectly correct. There was some stress in the industry about the touch being a tad more than 100MHz faster than iPhone 3G.
