Hi,

i have a problem, i though i could solve, tried googling and found no solutions.

I want to record in my MBP (garageband) through my external Mic preamp which also has a AD converter (APOGEE MINIME) and a coax output.
I bought the converter COax to OPT, and the optical Toslink to Minijack cable.
So the connection is set.
I get the signal in.
THe problem is with clocking.
APoggee wants to be the master (which is quite OK) the problem is in Audio MIDI setup, i cannot acces the clock source no matter what i do.
It is set to defualt, and i am afraid that is not external:(
I get click and pops, that i know as a result of bad/no clocking...

Anyone had any success setting something similar up?

best,
matt

Why not just use the Minime's built in interface and Aggregate the Mac's built in interface with the Minime?
