Alright I just purchased a few hdtvs, and am thinking of setting up my powerbook up to it just to see how it looks. I've seen how it looks on a regular tv, but im sure the quality has to be alot better on an hdtv than a regular one.

Just wondering what cables I need. My tv doesnt have a dvi input, but does have hdmi, so im guessing a hdmi to dvi cable should do the job?

Yup, DVI to HDMI will do it.

Don't know how it will fare with the resolution but should be interesting to try.

Thanks
Trevor

I have the exact opposite problem. My HDTV has DVI and not HDMI. What sort of resolution should I expect to get from connecting my Radeon 9600 Mobility (64 MB of VRAM) in my 17" Powerbook to the Samsung Model #TX-P3064W with a DVI to DVI cable? And where can I get the cheapest cable to do this?
