I just bought a used Powerbook? How can I tell if there is any time on the warranty and if I can still add AppleCare?
Thanks.
The Serial Number is:
Serial Number: UV339AHCPH
Machine Model: PowerBook G4 12"

Edit: Sorry, you bought a USED Powerbook. Got it. Do you have any idea when it was originally purchased?

Whoa there, thanks for the serial number, but it’s not necessary! You might want to use the “Edit Post” feature to remove that. 😉

Your Powerbook automatically comes with a one-year warranty from Apple. During this year, you can choose to purchase Applecare (~$350). Applecare extends the warranty to three years from date of original purchase. It also extends phone support to one year from date of original purchase. If you want Applecare, you must purchase it within one year of buying your Powerbook.

also, check the model. if it's rev. A (867 MHz), then it was released almost two years ago - i highly doubt that it's got any time left.

but we can't tell - calling apple (or the seller) is the best way.
