Will the Edirol UA-1D output a Dolby Digital and DTS signal (from DVD player) from my powerbook to my Harman Kardon reciever? I have the M-Audio Transit USB and it doesn't work for surround sound. It only outputs stereo.

The Transit should work with DVD Player to let you play DTS/Dolby Digital through the optical out port. Are you sure you have everything configured correctly?

I have tried every setup, driver config, volume, setting, and program that exist. The support line I called was no help. They couldn't figure out what was wrong.
I've been speculating it may be my reciever. I have a Harman/Kardon AVR-230. I've connected it to a DVD player and gotten Dolby/DTS surround, but with the transit and mac I can't seem to squeeze it out.
