OWC RAM delivered used?

So my OWC RAM just got here today. It is for a 2010 12-core MP. I got 16GB 1333 MHz and I noticed that it looks like a sticker was put over another sticker. I have no idea if this means anything or not, which is why I am posting this. Is this normal? Could it be that this RAM is used? What reasons would there be for relabeling RAM? Is it really old 1066 MHz RAM labeled as 1333? Here are some pictures:

I don't think so. RAM seats tightly, look for scratches or smudges on the connectors if you're worried.

I thought I saw some stuff on the gold connectors that made it look used, but maybe thats just my mind playing tricks or something. I tried to take a picture of it but it didn't turn out.

OWC or SuperTalent is rebranded...usually Samsung, Micron, or Hynix...

I have the exact same RAM (just arrived today) and it does clearly have double labels, but as far as I can tell there is zero indication of any wear/use on the connectors.

My guess is that the RAM is just fine, and our only problem is that we still have to wait another week to install them!

It has been tested I am sure. maybe why it looks slightly used or slightly scratched.

If it works well and says 1333 when you boot, you are golden.

Plus it has a warranty right?

I've always though the idea of stickers on RAM to be rather dubious...

Given the heat they can put off, it'll eventually make the adhesive on the sticker evaporate/dry and then it falls off - sure it'll take quite a long time, but, there goes the lifetime warranty ;)

Well I'll try not to worry about it, unless my MP doesn't boot when I put it in... Then I will most likely start to worry about it a bit...

Well if FedEx is right, I will find out Friday when I get my Mac Pro.

A little of subject, but my RAM was delivered via FedEx. It wasn't delivered until 9PM, I didn't know FedEx delivered past like 6...

I'm sure the driver didn't go home to use it for 3 hours then decide to give it to you. ;)

If you're concerned just ask for an RMA.

Also I believe OWC tests their RAM, so the contacts won't looks new.
