Been looking at the OWC vs TransIntl RAM pricing, and it looks like OWC significantly dropped their prices. 12gb by at least $50 and 16GB by around $80. I haven't purchased yet, but, if you did, I'd call and see if they'll price match if you ordered in the last week.

What prices are you seeing for 16GB? I just ordered it for $680 about an hour ago.

Yesterday when I looked, it was I believe $579 for 12gb and $750 for 16gb. Much cheaper now, glad someone got some money out of it :)

Let me add my thanks as well! You saved me $70 on 16 GB - the price went down from $749 to $679. The customer service person at OWC was very nice, saying that if RAM prices changed either 5 days after your order or 5 days after you received it (I'm not sure how it could be both, but that's what he said), they'd credit you with the difference.

ram prices are like gold or silver their pricing is more like a commodity driven up and down far faster then most computer parts.

this is because ram can be used in many different computers.

5 days is not bad. It a month the ram could go up 10 percent. remember last years 2gb 1066 mhz sticks for imacs, mac mini's and macbook pros were 25 to 30 a stick or 50 to 60 for a pair. now 85 a pair is a good price for them.
