My Rogers contract is done in about 18 months. They're offering me an iPhone 4 for $159 if I renew to a new 3-year contract.

Would you do that, or pay $650 for the same iPhone straight from Apple?

As you need the contract anyways to properly use the iPhone, do it - unless they charge your extra monthly fees for the subsidized phone.
