I just bought a 25 inch HD monitor to hook up to my 13 inch Macbook. The native and highest resolution on the monitor is 1920 x 1080. It's Mini DVI -> VGA.

For some reason, when I try to set the monitor resolution to 1920 x 1080, the image isn't centered, but off to the side. What's weird is that every other resolution option works fine, of all different sizes and aspect ratios, even the ones that don't fit properly either center themselves or stretch to fit.

If I try to move the image horizontally via the monitor settings, I can only get it to go so far over before I can't go any farther. I've also tried both "stretch" and "fit" options but neither work. Additionally, the auto-adjust doesn't work either. Any help is appreciated.

The picture below is (Photoshopped to show) what my screen looks like right now.
