Good evening all-
Found some excellent advice here about replacing my too-full HD on my MacBook 13". However, there's one gap I haven't been able to fill:
The mechanical procedure for swapping the hard drive is no big deal. If I can handle RAM, I can handle the HD.
Before shutting down prior to installation of the new drive, I think I would want to have the Snow Leopard install disc in the drive. Yes?
However, once the new drive is installed, I THINK the procedure would be:
1) boot from CD by holding down "C" at startup.
2) Plug old HD into toaster.
3) Run Migration Assistant from CD to import old drive onto the new one.
4) Enjoy my new storage space.
Will Migration Assistant import partitions as well? Or do I need to run Boot Camp again?
