Airport express -Mac & PC - Modem?

Hello,

can anyone give me advice on which brand of ethernet modem to buy in UK for airport express? I have an IBook G4, and a PC with windows xp, and like to make them wireless with the airport express. Does anybody have a setup like this - and which type ethernet modem do you use for it? does it work smoothly??
