I know it's been almost 4 years, but I wanted to add that I'm still using my 27" late 2009 iMac Core i7 2.8 GHz, but now I have 32 GB of RAM in and a 4 TB Fusion drive. I took out the optical drive (because I still have that old Blu-ray Burner plugged into USB) and put a 128 GB SSD in it's place. I just fused the drives today.
It works great and it may be one of the best 5 year old Macs there is (A "Vintage Mac" is defined at 5 years, "Obsolete" at 7 years). The fastest iMac is still less than twice the speed and still can't hold more RAM or Storage than this old thing.

Oh yeah I am, I've been running iOS 6 on my iPad 3 and iPhone 3GS for a while. It's going really well, I like it. Also dabbling around with some of the new iOS 6 stuff in XCode... I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, maybe haha. Nice talking to you too mate.

Haha yeah that sounds pretty good!

After you get into it for a little bit it becomes quite easy. There's heaps of documentation, and several forums you can get help from. (Apple also has developer forums, but you need to be registered in Apple's program which is $99 a year.)

I work for myself doing apps for clients and also my own personal apps. Yeah there's a lot of money in C and databases as you say, but I've been pampered by Obj-C, it's like the luxury language lol haha... well I wish you the best mate and hope to see you at the top of the chain in the next couple of years!

No worries! Ah nice... that sounds pretty cool! It's certainly a line of work that will always be pretty busy and much needed too.

Yeah my first was Visual Basic, but since then I've moved on to Objective C. I've become accustom to it, so I don't want to go back to using anything else haha. I also know some web languages as well, but I mostly just use Obj-C for iOS / OS X development.

Will do, you too mate =)

That's good! HK eh? Awesome. What's kind of work are you doing there? IT related I assume?

Pretty good thanks, I'm working too -- programming and stuff.

Does that create true 5.1 audio? Seems like plenty of cables. I checked out the adapter, apparently it doesn't work.

Hi I saw in on of your posts that you have some Logitec X-540 speakers connected to your iMac. I'm curious to know what interface you use to connect the three 3,5mm RCA cables to the digital out of the iMac.
