Is it possible to change the graphics card of an iMac 27"?

If I am right, you cannot. These GPUs is on a dauther card, but has some special type of connection to the motherboard. To change the graphic card, you have to replace the motherboard ...

The only graphic cards you can upgrade/change, are these, that are in the Mac Pro towers.

Theoretically yes but the procedure isn't very simple and replacement cards are hard to find and cost a fortune

iMacs use MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) interconnect which is standard in laptop GPUs. Thus any mobile GPU should theoretically work but only very few are supported by OS X.
