Hi All,

I've just tried to Reconnect Media to a project I worked on a couple of months ago.

But, when I Reconnect I get the File Attribute Mismatch prompt. It states:

Some attributes of one or more of the files you have chosen do not match the attributes of the original. This may cause problems within the sequence that are dependent on them.

The attributes that differ are

Media start and end
Reel

I'm using FCP 7 and it's the same one I used to edit the sequence.

I did ignore the message and all sequences were fine except the one. Here some Clips were totally out of time. These were Clips that I'd used Multiclip edit on. I'm wondering if this could be the problem?

I'm pulling my hair out right now. Any help is massively appreciated.

Thanks.

FCP isn't all that great when it comes to media management so things like nests, speed changes, multiclips, freeze frames, etc., can trip FCP up.

But the thing is I had multiclips elsewhere too and they were all fine.

It was just this one section where things went crazy!

Is there anything else on those clips, or in that portion of the timeline, that is different than the rest? Different codec? Different filters? Anything?

Nope. Everythings exactly the same.

I've almost given up on this and am thinking about making some edit changes to cover over the mess!!!
