is it possible to configure mail.app to automatically place it to folders?

Hi,

I am wondering whether it is possible to automatically move the incoming emails of an SMTP account to different folders based on the some attributes like words in subject, sender, etc?

Yes; go to Mail > Preferences > Rules and set them up from there.
