Office 2011 Subscribed Public Folders Calendar Options

I want to keep my Public Folders calendars turned off unless I need it, but when I uncheck the check box, then switch to Mail then switch back to Calendar again, the box is checked. Does anyone know how to keep that box unchecked? Thanks.
