Refund for App using code.

Hi, I am really clutching at straws here... I am only after purchasing an app for the Mac App Store. Just now I coincidentally got sent an email with codes to get the very same app for free. Ugh, is there any way at all I could redeem this code and get my money back? It is quite expensive.
