imessage showing my e-mail address not my number

When I send imessages, a new convo with my e-mail shows up on my friends phone. I have changed caller id to my mobile number but my imessages still show up as my e-mail address. Anyone else finding this? and any help? thanks.

Yeah, it should change to your number once activated. You could try signing out of your apple ID and try it again.
