I just recently got an iPad 2 and I'm wondering how are you guys checking for dead pixels? I have two weeks to ensure that I have a perfect screen.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I just bought the iPad 4. I downloaded those images and upon a close inspection, I don't notice any dead pixels. However, the iPad 4's retina display have much smaller pixels. Is there another way to definitively confirm that there are no dead pixels? I can't seem to zoom in any closer to possibly magnify things.
It's best to start at the pixel on the upper left corner. With over three million pixels, it's important to have an easy-to-remember starting point. A small drop of water on the retina display magnifies the pixels so that they are visible. Godspeed.
