Well, I admit that they have given a full description along with that option in File> library > organize library. I have not enabled that feature. But still all those files are saved in a folder in folder in the iTunes Media folder. /users/accountname*/Music/iTunes Media/Music/

what sort of difference would it make to my media library if I enable this?

I think that if you have a situation where you have iTunes files in multiple locations it will put them all in one.

For instance if you've added files from a NAS or a downloads folder or somewhere else, this moves them all into one location.

Thank you for the reply. I'm having another problem with iTunes and digital booklets. booklets are listed in "Books" under "Library" from the side bar in the left side of iTunes. But they are not listed in the music album (where the list of songs are displayed).

Any idea?
