i have a 2011 i7 and i want to sell it for something faster to do video editing and rendering. how do i erase everything on my computer with lion so its ready to sell?

Reboot and do Option + R. This will bring up internet recovery which will connect to the internet to do a complete restore of the system. Note that this will wipe out everything you have and restore to factory settings.

Good luck and let me know how much you end up selling it for as I am thinking about doing the same.
