i have on order a new ibook and ipod. I finally got to make the switch!!! my current ipod is pc formatted but my home computer crashed and the hard drive got wiped (dont get me started). it was a pc so it was only a matter of time with younger users mucking things up. anyway. i dont have my itunes library any more. i have 3500 songs from all sorts of cds and downloads and everything safely on my ipod but not backed up any more. i am going to sell my old ipod to a friend, but want to keep my music.

is it possible with my new ibook to get the music off of the pc formatted ipod to a new mac formatted ipod.

please help!

Senuti - it's free and it works very well. You can use it to pull songs, albums, playlists etc off your iPod back to your computer and the UI is very similar to iTunes.
