Im planning to order the 2012 11" 64gb Air. I'm wondering how much free space on SSD do you really have upon first boot up? (I'm assuming it will come preloaded with ML) please let me know. thx

The OS + iLife will probably take around 10gb.

My advice: Don't go 64 gb, unless you plan on replacing it with an aftermarket SSD from OWC fairly soon.

128gb is about the bare minimum you'd want without being extremely space constrained.

without deleting anything, you are left with 40GB of usable space after OS X, iLife, and the recovery partition are all accounted for.

also if you replace that ssd you can say good bye to your warranty. buy the 128 at least. you wont be disappointed.
