I can't believe it
Just installed Mountain Lion and can't open any .doc
What to do???

Had you tried google? It's just the thing to go to for a query such as this.

Personally I use M$ Office as my employer provided the software and the license. NeoOffice comes to mind...

What to do???
Text Edit will open .doc files. It won't display everything properly, but it will work. If you need to open and edit Word-created files, then you need to purchase Office 2011. Apache OpenOffice.org and its siblings like LibreOffice are OK in a pinch, but they should be trusted for final submission only in their native formats. For final submission of Microsoft formats, you need Microsoft software.
