hi,

I have started a iphone case engraving site at http://www.etchability.co.uk and just want your opinion:

I need to sort out the .com domain and i am going to add a better way to show what a engraved case could look like so the customer gets a better feel for it.

What do you think.

I really like it.

Though, I can't help but think the "Engraved Cases" text on the little pods along the bottom of the home page, should be left aligned with the iPhone tag above

Maybe adding some examples of different text selections in a gallery

I have just started the company up and as yet, I don't have any stock. Shortly I will be buying the stock and doing some real examples of the cases with engravings on. ideally i want one for each case but that will mean basically wasting a whole load of money on stock which is unsellable.

As each case sells im going to snap it and upload it.

I have updated the images as they do look better left justified.

Question about the business model: for the cases that are they, what are your thoughts on the pricing?

I'm not sure if its just my internet, but it loads really slow.
edit: mustve been a temp lapse in my campus internet, loads good now :D

Other than that, from a user point of view: its well designed and easy to navigate. Looks really good :)

I would think that you would have Newsletters open to the public, but I guess it makes sense that you want people to register to access them. Maybe have a textbox that lets people put in their email so that they can receive newsletters in the mail?

Just an idea.

I cant figure out if news letters will be worthwhile... I dont know how many people will buy more than one case, unless they buy for freinds and family...

I think it would be great for new product releases, the idea in the future would be to do other phones.. but starting off on iPhone to keep stock lock

Your promo shots aren't appealing. Stop worrying too much about getting the iPhone in them, and instead worry about showcasing your product.

Here are some examples:

https://www.incipio.com/cases/iphone-cases/iphone-5-cases.html
http://www.case-mate.com/iPhone-5-Cases/iPhone-5-Cases.asp
http://www.speckproducts.com/iphone-case/iphone-5-cases.html
http://store.griffintechnology.com/iphone/iphone-5

And one of a wallet:

Your images have lots and lots of compression too. They should be crisp.

Otherwise I like the theme, however, it would benefit from a different chose of text in like the menu and headers at the bottom.

Generally it looks ok. I have seen the layout time and time again, but you have done a good job with it. The images do need to be a much higher quality. For the slideshow pick one transition and stick with it, and pick something simpler while you are at it. A small detail I would reverse the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4 and 4s boxes at the bottom, put the iPhone 5 on the left. People read from left to right and if they see 4 or 4s first it looks out of date. And another nitpick on the register page move the continue button onto the left side with everything else. Overall it looks pretty good, but very familiar in not a good way.

Very slick and professional....An all round good job...You very nearly sold me a wallet case for my IP5 (which I don't need) so the site must work...:D
