I have a DVD-R with a video in DVD format, a video_ts file, it plays on the pc at work but not on my macbook pro. I have a dvd burner, and I can watch dvds on my macbook pro. I also have vlc and real player on my mac. But every time I put in the dvd in my mac, it is read as a blank dvd. Whats my problem? Can I fix this?

I've tried it on two different macbooks pros, different models, but both read the dvd-r as blank. But the video plays fine on a pc.

Was the DVD-R made at the PC at work and does it play fine on other PCs too? If you made the DVD on the PC at work and it only plays on the PC at work then you might not have 'finalized' the DVD when you created it. If that's the case it would still be playable on the machine that created it but it would not be playable on anything else.
