Can other apps play video in AirPlay as a second monitor?

When I'm playing video with itunes and AirPlay to ATV is on, the video plays just on TV and let me work on the MBA.

Are there other video players that support this feature?

If not, is there any way to extend the video formats I can play with itunes?
