I apologize if this is not in the correct place.

I was attempting to send a bento file to myself from work to my home computer, but what I sent was a .bentodb file, and I am unable to open it.
Did I send myself the wrong file?

Solution

I was able to contact Filemaker and get my issue resolved.

For anybody who may have this issue in the future, the solution:

You cannot open a .bentodb file if you already have one open. To switch between Bento databases:

1. Quit Bento
2. Hold option while re-opening Bento
3. Select new database
4. Repeat 1-3 to return to your original database

Hmm, I would have thought you'd want to export it from one machine to another as a template instead of copying the entire database?

But then again, I'm not sure what you're trying to do. (move everything or move just some stuff?)
