I'm beginning to wondering now that it's almost time for an update of some of the Apple apps (iWork, FCP), do you think Apple will introduce paid updates?
The reasonable method of doing this is allowing developers to introduce a paid update from older versions, but keep the same app in the App Store.
Or do you think they will rename, say Pages, to Pages '09 and release a new Pages '13?
In my opinion, the App Store needs 3 new features: paid updates, promotion codes (student discounts on Office?) and Apple TV-support.
