So with the Black Friday sales today i'm thinking about replacing my mac

I currently have mid-2009 mbp with 750gb and an apple tv

Thinking of replacing it with a mba 13 with 256gb, and then also the basic mini with 500gb hdd. I would then upgrade the ram and hdd in the mini myself to provide extra storage.

The mini could then be setup as a home server, storing all my content, and streaming to the apple tv. Then when i need content on my air i can just transfer it across using file sharing or itunes home sharing

I have around 600Gb of music, videos, photos etc, so storage space is always an issue for me, and i really dont want to have to carry around a portable hdd

Also, if its all stored on the mini i can use timemachine to back everything up, rather than carrying everything on a portable hdd and risk loosing it

Does the above sound like a good plan?
