I tried to google the answer but couldn't find it.

So, I'm getting a new MBA and I most probably gonna plan to get FCP X and Aperture for it so I can start photo & video edit already. The plan is to get an iMac next summer for more power and screen size.

When I will buy the apps now for the MBA can I download them again for free when I gonna get the iMac in summer 2013 or will I have to pay again for the same apps?

Thanks a lot.

As long as they are linked to the same iTunes id, then you can re-download any app that you have brought on the new machine.

your iTunes and AppStore account allows you up to 5 machines.
I think thats for OS as well.

looks good

interesting concept, never thought about it.
I checked in the app store with my iTunes credentials and it's showing under purchase products all software I downloaded from the store.
I see Motion 5, but as it's a older macbook1,1 so it's not happy with the processor.
But I would think it works also with FCPx. :D
