No like specific folders on an External Hard with internal, but not like Time Machine.

Forklift looks promising. But I think thats a manual way of doing it. I'd like to see if there is something that will run in the background and automatically detect and copy/sync two folders.

Maybe this is something where I should give my programming skills a test...😎

How about Chronosync?
It does a lot more than syncing two folders though.

I use MacDropAny, but that's for syncing with the mac and the cloud (dropbox, in my case).

If you aren't afraid of the command line, you can use the built in rsync and a cron job
