Application for designing and editing photos

Hello world,
I been searching lately for an app that can help me with editing photos for mac it worth mentioning that I'm not seeking for complicated apps.
(An app that within 1 week learning I can finally work with it).

Any new Mac will come with iPhoto which can be used for some editing. If you want something a little more full featured, take a look at Pixelmator.
