I'm restoring an encrypted backup I made in iOS 5 after upgrading to iOS 6. Started out saying that it would take a few hours and now the latest estimate is 8 hours. Size is about 30GB. Trying to figure out if it's hung or not. I need my iPad and if its going to take this long to restore it would be quicker to re-install my apps from the app store and just archive the backup on my PC in case I ever want to extract the photos from it using a 3rd party tool at a later point. I know there's a movie in that backup but of course Apple wont let you pick and choose what you want to restore - they just assume all of their users are idiots and just like to hold shiny things. Maybe in 2016 Apple will release iSelective Restore.
