How to install a screensaver?

I am trying to install a third party screen saver that only includes the file.

Dragging and dropping it into the screen saver folder under system files has deemed unsucessful. It is a Mac screensaver, but the file doesn't have the screensaver icon.

Is it the file that's not right? thanks
