iPhone 5 - Fresh iOS 6 Installation

I have brand new officially unlocked iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1 pre-loaded. And now I would like to put a fresh iOS 6, do you think if I install a new iOS 6 my phone will lose its unlock?

And why would you want to have a fresh iOS 6 install? There's problems with your iPhone 5?

my phone battery draining very fast! it was fully charged 100% at 1:30 PM, and now 69% and its just 5:20 PM. I did not use it all day!!

I received the phone three days ago and since I been reading articles and how-to's to help minimize battery draining but without any luck.

so have you got any idea if i do a fresh install for iOS will my iphone lose its official unlock?

thanks @Feed Me, my i5 didn't lose the unlock. I hope now my battery issue is gone.
