I prefer to get the actual cd of any album & rip to flac & convert to other formats, but in this case, I can only find this album in digital form. It is available in both itunes, & on amazon.

which would offer the best sound quality? I know they are both in a lossy format, is there a big difference?

itunes has it in .ma4 or some sort of format, & amazon has it in mp3 320kbps.

iTunes Music is 256kbps AAC audio, while the Amazon music is 320kbps MP3 audio. They should be roughly comparable in quality, although the AAC codec is a newer one and more efficient. I would always prefer the iTunes one for quality but at that point you really aren't likely to ever notice the difference. Even most people who say they can hear the difference actually just pick up on a placebo effect.
