Finder requires password every time i move a folder

Hi,
I'm still running OS X Leopard

I'm trying to organise my pictures folders and every time i move a folder into a new folder i have to type my password. Really annoying, and will take forever. Can i disable this? i'm logged in as admin

Have you checked Finder > select folder you want to move and/or folder you want to move to >> GET INFO >>> Sharing & Permissions yet?

Yeah it would appear that most of the older folders are set to read only. 🙁
