It is possible for traditional HDD to breach SATA 3Gb/s speeds in the next 5 years but the question is will there still be demand for HDDs by then?

Click to expand... hdd will be replace by SSD so the answer is no. but 3Gb is the max capability. it's lucky if there is 80% of speed in reality. like usb, you wont have 6GB/s on 3.0 either. so i think it better to have sata3 rather than sata2.
