Any clue how long it takes to get a fan repaired?

I have a one month old macbook air. The fan is shot on it. I have an appointment today to get it fixed. Any clue if its something they can fix in the apple store or if it has to get sent in? Also any clue on the turn around time?

It's about 5 minutes - but it depends a) if they have the part and b) when they have time.

Had it replaced at local apple store. Two day turn around. Part was in stock.
