I need help opening my NAT type on my internet connection to my Xbox 360. I have my iPhone 5 16GB without the IOS 6.1 update using the Tether.com service to tether a connection to my Macbook Pro, which I then connected via ethernet to my Xbox 360 and have managed to establish a functional connection. The connection works and I am sometimes able to play online, but it craps out after an hour or so of play time and becomes totally unusable, and I also cannot connect to voice chat over Xbox Live either. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to be able to open my NAT type to improve my speed, or any other techniques that would help?

I don't think you can, at least not without jailbreaking.

There are no options to open ports on the iPhone.

You'd be better off getting a home broadband connection and setting up a small home network rather than using your iPhones data connection.
