lost most of my itunes data, cant sync iPhone?

I did a clean install of mountain lion on my macbook pro, but before that, I coppied all my itunes data and media via the consolidate files option. When everything was done and my mac was clear I realised that more than half of my media was gone! Now I cant sync any of my devices and most of my music is gone, what should I do? Almost everything is still on my iPhone?
