I have my entire MacBook Pro backed up on an external hard drive, but I also want to use another external drive to back up all photos and videos. Since everything has been imported into iPhoto, what is my best way to back them up separately?

I'm thinking I can use Finder and drag the entire iPhoto Library onto my external drive. I believe there is a Masters directory in there, though it currently is not showing up in Finder (there may be a way to adjust finder to show all those subdirectories).

Is this the best and safest way to do this?

Thank you.

I would use Time Machine for the second drive as well. In the TM control panel, you should be able to have the second drive only backup iPhoto. If your first drive is backing up everything, this would give you two backups of your photos.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but you should be able to easily verify in TM.
